Tag reads: "That Blackwell touch"
The only designer from this era who loved big bows, and was named Blackwell was Mr. Blackwell.
So considering the beautiful details and quality of this garment,
I feel pretty confident in my assumption that it would be THAT Mr. Blackwell.
Mr Blackwell started his clothing line in the late 50's.
He was a designer to the stars like Jayne Mansfield and Yvonne DeCarlo.
He created the "Ten Worst Dressed Women" list.

Note: When I received this dress, the bow was only pinned on
- I only attached the center of the bow and at the straps
( looped the thread around the straps and not through the fabric)
I have left the sides loose (and pinned them for the photo)
so after a proper pressing of the bow they can be tacked back
to the sides to make sure they are placed evenly.
