Vintage 30's romantic ivory white lace wedding gown / special occasion dress

A beautiful gown from the 1930's

Tank style bodice with a  cape collar / lace overlay on the shoulders that was so popular in the 30's to 40's

Cut on the bias for a beautiful drape -

Pointed gore in the center of the skirt and seam-work at the midriff gives this gown a  deco design

Accented with 2 creme chiffon flowers and a matching lace belt with a brilliant rhinesone buckle - All stones are present 

No zipper or buttons -There is a slight stretch to the lace

thanks to the cut and lace content

Due to the cut and the lace , there is a little stretch to this dress 

Pulled slightly it measures:

A. underarm to underarm: 18  inches (36)

B. Waistline: 15 1/2  inches (31)

Belt measures: 32 inches

C. Hips: 19  inches (38)

D. Shoulder to waist: 17  inches

E. Waist to hem: 40 inches

F. Sleeve Length(cape): 12  inches

C O N D I T I O N 

Beautiful condition 

Her original slip is missing - easy to replace

 Found one very faint and small tea colored spot on front bodice

Faint underarm discoloration

The flower will need a cleaning or replacing - one petal has discolored.  
It looks to me  like it can be saved. 

Clean and steamed but should be taken to a professional for a cleaning / pressing before the big day

might be possible to lighten underarms with a professional cleaning method

I can't find any breaks in the lace 

completely wearable (with care, of course) - was stored wonderfully!
